Scotranslate takes your English words and phrases and translates them into Scottish using our unique community-driven engine, instantly!

Simply choose your region, enter your text and Scotranslate will transform your words into Scottish, specific to your region. You can choose to tailor the translation to Aberdeen, Ayrshire, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow regions.

If your word or phrase isn’t recognised, it is automatically added for translation by the Scotranslate community – you! If your translation receives three votes from other users, it will automatically be approved and count towards your accepted contributions. Don’t worry, votes and suggestions both count towards your Scotranslate ranking!

You can contribute straight from the app, voting on word translations to make Scotranslate even more accurate.
